Oklahomans Can Purchase Hunting & Fishing Licenses In-Store or Online at http://WildlifeDepartment.com

Oklahoma City, OK. – September 4, 2009 – Whichever way you prefer to shop – in-store or online, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) has you covered when buying your hunting and fishing license this year. Oklahoma and out-of-state residents can purchase their sportsmen licenses in-store or online at http://WildlifeDepartment.com.

To ensure all sportsmen have convenient access to purchasing hunting and fishing licenses, the ODWC sells licenses in more than 700 stores throughout the state. These stores include sporting goods stores, bait shops, convenience stores, and large discount centers. Licenses purchased through licensed dealers are limited to the payment methods accepted by the dealer.

The quickest, greenest, and easiest way to obtain a hunting or fishing license is to buy it online at http://WildlifeDepartment.com. Visitors to site can simply apply online by clicking the ‘Buy Your License Online’ link, purchase and print their wildlife license from the comfort and convenience of their own home. Payments accepted online include Visa and MasterCard and are processed through a secure payment engine, which abides by rigorous policies and procedures to ensure that sportsmen can be confident that their payments are safe, private, and secure.

“Purchasing your license electronically is not only quick and convenient but it allows you to replace your license if you loose that license,” said Melinda Sturgess-Streich, Assistant Director of Oklahoma Department of Wildlife. “In four easy steps, all sportsmen can purchase and print their license on regular 8.5” x 11” paper using a common black and white printer.”

According to Go Green Oklahoma, http://GoGreen.OK.gov, 13 million sheets of paper have been saved as a result of moving the licensing paper process to computer-based technology since January 2007.

Every wildlife license purchased helps fund wildlife conservation in the state of Oklahoma. These funds help manage the fish and game species across Oklahoma.
